Introducing Michael Walton, COO of Ndeipi, and the Vision for a Sustainable Future
At Ndeipi, we believe that innovation and leadership go hand in hand. That’s why I’m excited to introduce Michael Walton, our Chief Operating Officer, a visionary leader whose strategic expertise has been instrumental in taking Ndeipi to new heights. Mike and I crossed paths through the Founder Institute in Toronto, an experience that, in many ways, has been the greatest MBA I never took. The connections, mentorship, and network I’ve gained from the program have been invaluable, especially meeting key players like Mike, who is now helping us drive Ndeipi forward in exciting directions.
Toronto: A Global Startup Hub
Toronto is quickly becoming more than just a basketball factory. It’s evolving into a global hub for startups, and Ndeipi is proud to call this city home. Toronto offers an unparalleled environment for entrepreneurship, something I’ve seen firsthand through my involvement with programs like the Toronto Business Development Center (TBDC) Bootcamp. It was here in April that I met Sid, the CEO of Liquid Energy, which has led to one of our most exciting joint ventures to date: DropletCoin.
During that same bootcamp, I also connected with two Nigerian fintechs and Nearsoft, a Portuguese banking software company—relationships that have since blossomed into fruitful partnerships. These experiences prove that Toronto is not only a city of opportunity but a place where innovative minds from around the world come together to create something truly groundbreaking.
🌍💧 Introducing #DropletCoin: Powering AI Mining with Solar Energy
Our latest initiative, in partnership with Sid and Liquid Energy, is the launch of #DropletCoin—an energy token that is set to revolutionize AI mining by leveraging sustainable solar energy. DropletCoin allows users to stake, earn, and trade while directly supporting green energy projects. This is a game-changer in the world of decentralized finance, combining the power of crypto with the urgent need for eco-friendly solutions. As the world shifts towards renewable energy, DropletCoin is poised to be at the forefront of this transformation.
With DropletCoin, we’re building a future where AI mining doesn’t just benefit investors, but also supports the planet. By staking DropletCoin, users will be driving both innovation and sustainability, helping to shape the decentralized energy landscape.
Check it out on OpenSea here and join the movement that’s merging the best of Web3, renewable energy, and crypto.
Toronto's Leadership in Innovation
Toronto’s role as a startup hub has been further solidified by its leadership. I recently had the pleasure of listening to a keynote from the city’s mayor, who highlighted the endless opportunities Toronto offers to startups like Ndeipi. Her vision and passion for fostering innovation in the city were truly inspirational, reaffirming my belief that we couldn’t have done this anywhere else.
A Different View on Ambition in Canada’s Tech Sector
There’s been some discussion lately about ambition within Canada’s tech industry. Shopify’s president, Harley Finkelstein, has argued that a lack of ambition is holding back the potential of Canadian companies. He suggests that many businesses are satisfied with being acquired by larger U.S. competitors, rather than aiming for global dominance.
I respectfully disagree. What Toronto has shown me, and what leaders like Michael Walter exemplify, is that my peers and I are incredibly hungry for success. We’re not content with being anyone’s branch office—we’re here to build global empires. With projects like DropletCoin and partnerships with world-class innovators, we’re proving that the ambition here is real, and we’re just getting started.
The future is bright for Ndeipi, and we’re excited to continue shaping it with the incredible opportunities Toronto provides.
